Fishing Report -- 04-06-12

Ron joined me on a very windy day to see what we could find. We had good bait and although the wind was pretty bad we headed for big structure first. My expectations were high for the spot we hit first but apparently the fish didn’t share my enthusiasm. No Snook were home, we only got a Bluefish and a Jack. We abandoned plan A and kicked plan B into action. Plan B proved to be significantly more productive than plan A producing a 27 ¾ inch Snook and a 28 inch Snook. Ron’s mouth was watering the whole time, lucky for the Snook they were just on the slot limit and escaped Ron’s frying pan. Once the action slowed at spot B we went to plan C. This delivered a few more small Snook and a decent size Blue Fish. As we get closer to summer these fish will get bigger and more numerous, the slot sized Snook had better hope Ron doesn’t come back before June 1st.
