The brothers Martin had heartbreak and success today. Craig landed a nice Tarpon and Glenn landed a permit. The heartbreak was that two other quite larger Tarpon were hooked but not landed, just Tarpon bad luck.

Doug and Chris have brought the Jack luck each time they have fly fished them with me. Tarpon luck on the other hand has not been with them, Chris had a Tarpon hooked and fighting unfortunately the fly unexpectedly pulled left us all wanting more, Tarpon however didn't want any more of us. The Jacks were out in good numbers and with two good fly anglers on board a bunch were landed.

Fishing Report -- 2025-05-18
Similar to James's first trip targeting the XL Jacks on fly last year again this year the Jacks made him really work for his catches. James did everything right, they were just super spooky and uncooperative. James kept plugging away at them and was rewarded with 4 landed this year (3 better than last year). Looking forward to seeing what happens next time he takes on the Jacks.

Craig worked hard to get two Permit to the boat today, sharks seem to really want to eat Permit. Also a nice Snook was landed.

Josh and Neil had an extremely busy day on fly and conventional tackle. Josh started the day by jumping a Tarpon on fly. We then moved offshore for tons of False Albacores, Rainbows runners, Barjacks and Sandbar sharks.
