Shane
was in town visiting and wanted to do some fly fishing. Tropical Storm Andrea
was also in town so the result was another FITRD – Fishing In The Rain Day. The
morning started out pretty nice but the afternoon was somewhat on the wet side.
Then we also had cold water upwellings to deal with, typically the water temp
should be in the 80s but we recorded 69 degree water on the beach. This cold
water really put the fish in a bad mood so Shane really had his work cut out
for him. At the end of a very challenging day Shane ended up with two nice
Bonitos, had hooked in to a 30 plus lb Jack, caught a bunch of little Jacks, a
small Snook and lost a really nice Snook to the trolling motor. A very
challenging day but a great day on the water none the less considering we had
to deal with the effects of Tropical Storm Andrea.
